WHO IS #1 of THE TOP 5 FLORIDA PLAYER'S?
Hello Everyone,
I decided to put this out there to see who responds and get everyones opinion. King of the Courts is coming up on November 7th, but here are some of the names which should get to the final rounds. But of these 5 who do you think will WIN? This should determine who is the current best?
Bob - Sanford
Macho - Orlando
Victor - Miami
Jason - Tampa
Chris - Hollywood
Well the tournament is over now.... As I expected once I heard NY was coming down I knew they were going to dominate and that they did winning first place in Single and Doubles... Congrats to Pooch and Lowens....
On another note... I can still make an official standing of our Florida players and who is in the Top 5. I anticipated all the names above and they did prove to be the top players at the tourney. However here is the official run down.
1st Victor (Miami)
2nd Chris (Hollywood)
3rd Macho (Orlando)
4th Jason (Tamp)
5th Bob (Sanford)
I'm open to any corrections to this list, but you BETTER HAVE TOURNAMENT PROOF OF WHY I NEED TO CHANGE IT.

THE MEXICAN IS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH. UNFORTUNATELY THIS ENIGMA OF PLAYER IS SEEN SPORADICALLY ON OUR HANDBALL COURTS. TIS THE REASON HE IS NOT ON THE LIST...BUT I WOULD REPLACE 3 OF THE GUYS ON THE LIST TO PLACE THE MEXICAN ON IT....WHICH 3? YOU DECIDE...

i can strongly agree with your conclusion of your players but with the interruption of myself and pooch the top five list is slightly altered but let me know when you have that mini tournament if you guys and gals decide to hold it I would love to come down and watch. I gotta say walter should be considered on that list also the old guy has got some fire power left in his tank still and ill have to give a warning to anybody who plays him a match dont mess around with him take him serious or he will snag you he got me like that and i have a whole new respect for his game. I gotta disagree with you about one person however. I think you are wrong about big bob he is a singles player in my opinion he is just a way better doubles player then singles. He might also have snagged pooch in the first round if it wasnt for me telling pooch how to cut off his serve he might have really struggled with bob. I gotta give the big guy credit he can play.

Well lets get something right. I might not be in the top 5 players but im in the top players. I believe im ranked maybe 8 or 10 something like that. If you want we can play against each other singles or with my partner Tim and we can see whose top players. My partner and I don't care much about rankings. We just love to play the game and the more challenges we get the better we are off. We haven't played together in the last few tournaments to let others take them since we won 3 already. I played in the last 2 because Efren asked me to play and Lowveens also. If I knew the stuff that happen was going to happen I wouldve never played. I play my ass off every single time and like other players know I come to play and kick ass and I do it very well. Even the players from NY know me and know the kind of game I bring. So lets stop with the BS and just have fun playing the game. REPRESENT YOUR GAME AND FORGET WHO PLAYS GREAT!!!!!!!

THIS SPORT IS A COMPETITION. GREATNESS IN THE SPORT IS THE GOAL. TO SOME WINNING IS ACHIEVING GREATNESS. AND TO OTHERS HANDBALL IS A SIMPLE HOBBY. THAT IS GENERALLY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NY AND FL PLAYERS. I WISH FL PLAYERS HAD THE FERVOR THAT PLAYERS IN NY LIKE GEO HAVE.

singles is much more exciting then doubles it lets you know how good you really are there is no back up, no help from a partner just you the ball the wall and your opponent two men enter one man leave. singles It is a dieing form of handball. people are much to afraid to lose to someone they feel they should beat. Back in the the days of buddy and angel marquez players would travel to the next borough only to challenge other great singles players that they have heard of but never seen before with no fear and played fierce games against each other it was like watching a karate movie where the master of a dojo would travel far to another dojo to prove has style was the best. Handball was at its finest then and i wish those days would come back. For me personally i seek to harness the styles of the past so i watch old singles tapes of the legends and absorb as much as possible to better my own game and i rarely back down from a challenge. for me to back down fatigue must be a factor.

LOW, I AGREE....I PREFER SINGLES OVER DOUBLES....A TRUE SPECTACLE.....THE STRENGTHS AND FEARS OF EACH PLAYER FOR DISPLAY.

I will play anyone who wants to play.....i dont play single but i will get down if i have too but as far as doubles.. bring it on...no one has taken out in tournaments my partner Tim and myself...so lets get busy.....ya know this....

Hey Dennis what is this that nobody has taken you and tim out in tournament play. What about the beating me and Victor gave you in the last one i played in with a FEVER. Lol.
