Umm depends, how slots, doubles and singles.

First Think about how much money you have to promote it Vs, how much money you're spending.
Gain: Sell Drinks ETC., Late fee' contact people who sell gloves & T-shirts.
Judges, Line refs Losers of the first rounds and experienced players only.
Set EARLY Time & Date , it takes a long while to set up and start.
5-10min warm ups.
Post up on FB,MySpace HB Space, and all the parks have friends help you out.
Put up prize money vs how many people will be joining , and you'll calculate the prizes of 1st 2nd 3rd or even up to 8th if you get a big turn out. You're rake should be about 30% for expenses and food handballs.
Set Rain dates & check the weather.
Pick days that work for most of the people, plan it about 2-3 months in advance.

Usally i pick at random from a hat to see who faces who, but if you wanna have divisions thats fine also.

Bj's - Soda, Soft drinks = about 30-40$ best bang for the money.
Cosco= 40-65$

Hosting is easy, Just make sure to let everyone know, the ground rules off the bat.
1. Don't argue with judges
2. No pay no play etc.


you can get park permits by calling 311 saying you're hosting a event or contact the USHA and ask im sure vern will help you. Ask around because this site is pretty dead when it comes to responding.
